Poster Session - Getting Teens College/Career Ready

I was very interested to see the poster session on Getting Teens College/Career Ready, presented by Lesley Farmer from Cal State Long Beach. The poster presentation looked at the variety of options available to teens in high school, including traditional colleges, and trade schools, etc. It followed the process of preparing for testing, college and school admissions, essay writing and more. Then it went on to look at what librarians can do to supplement what the education system is already doing. She noted that where educators have a deep knowledge of their academic domain and students, librarians bring deep knowledge about resources, information processing, and technical processes to the table.
